Compass Odyssey- 30 minutes 70% mastery. Finish Diagnostic Test (do not get help). After test go onto the learning path. A day students due by Wednesday Morning, and B day students due by Friday. You can always do more than 30 minutes, but there are no rollover minutes :)

If for some reason you cannot get on Odyssey I need a parent letter. For those who did not have the test icon today I have added it for you. If you do not have internet access at home remember the county library, friend's house, or family member's house.

Just a reminder to work on your Mathography.

-Clarification on lockers and backpacks. Students, when you go to your locker before the last class of the day you need to get everything that needs to go home. Such as your backpack, lunch box and any materials you need for homework for that night. You are allowed to have your backpack the last class of the day. We teachers will be out by your lockers reminding you what you need and we will be there to guide you.

If you have any questions prior to these days feel free to ask during class or in the hall.

We are taking a Math diagnostic test to help me guide my lessons. The data I receive will help me understand what my students know or need help with. Friday and Monday we are scheduled to go to the computer lab, however due to technical difficulties we may have to reschedule. Again, "go with the flow".

We are having a good first week of 6th grade.

08/22/09
I hope all are doing well. I sure have enjoyed meeting some of you. Monday is going to be here before we know it, so make sure you got everything organized and set out for the first day. Also, make sure you get to bed early so you are ready to learn.
To ease your mind, everyone is nervous and anxious about the first day of middle school. I remember I was so worried about changing classes, but I had classes on all 3 floors. You will be fine and after the first day you will be pros. I will tell you the first day flies by and all those butterflies in your stomach will fly away with the day.
I look forward to meeting all of you and to a wonderful school year.

Look forward to plenty of information next week.

You have only 2 weeks from today before school starts. Look forward to meeting new people and learning new concepts in math. We will be working hard along with having fun while we are working. I am very excited and anxious for the new school year to start. Enjoy the last few days and start getting ready with your sleep habits, because I do not want to see any sleepy heads the first day of school :) > I look forward to meeting all of you!!
