Since I have not updated my blog here are the assignments thus far for the 4th 9 weeks:
Periods 1A,3A and 6B pg 15 1-5 and pg 19 6-10
Period 2A - Construct a graph from the data collected from the Jumping Jack Activity
Period 4B - Distributive Property Handout and the Simplifying Variable Expressions Handout.

Please make sure you keep up with all of your assignments to make sure you are practicing what we are learning in class to maintain the concepts taught.

Also, I have placed assignments on Odyssey that are correlating with what is being taught in class at present time as well as the next unit. Please feel free to move forward. The connections from Odyssey to class are very valuable and Odyssey is a useful tool to maintain the knowledge learned.

Homework:
Every class Odyssey for 1 hour a week.

2nd Period - Study for test - Area and Perimeter of Rectangles, Parallelograms, and Triangles

2nd period received progress reports today. Please ask your child to see it and review what they may have to makeup.

All classes 1 hour of Odyssey this week.

Pre-algebra - Review concepts that you noticed you need to brush up on to complete the test tomorrow.

Periods 1A and 3A - Complete Practice Test and Study for test - Odyssey 1 hour/ week - Odyssey will be a good review for test. See icons for area and perimeter, area and circumference and percents.

Period 2A - complete past homework and Odyssey 1hr/Week. See icons for area and perimeter, area and circumference and percents. It will be a good review for the Test next week.

We are back to our normal routine after the FCAT. Students have homework to complete and they need to be studying for a test coming up on Friday for 1A and 3A and Tuesday for 2A.
Area and perimeter of rectangles, parrallelograms, triangles, and area and circumference of circles. Along with finding percent of a number, including tax, tip and discount.

All students in period 2A received a progress report today. So parents please review over the report and discuss any make up assignments with your children.

Periods1A and 3A - pg 81 14-27

Period 2A - Shopping Project due Tuesday March 23rd. Make sure you show all of your calculations on how to find a percent off and tax. Must show all work to get credit!!!!

Homework: Get a good nights rest and eat a healthy breakfast!

I recieved this information from my child's teacher.

Free breakfast at McDonald's on March 9th from 6-9am for the FCAT for students in the 3rd-11th grades. You will receive a free egg mcmuffin, apple dippers and milk or orange juice. This offer is only good on the 9th and children under 15 need to be accompanied by an adult and be present with the adult.

Periods- 1A-3A - Grades have been updated on Oncourse, except for your shopping project (period 2A no shopping project) If your grade is low, this is due to not turning in assignments. Please look to see what you may need to make up for 1/2 credit.

Homework:
Pre-Algebra - at least 30 minutes of Odyssey
Periods 1A,2A,3A,6B - complete upto #19 on the FCAT released test and get a Parent Signature.
