Homework:
Periods 1A-3A: Complete numbers 1-11 in the yellow packet.

Periods 4B and 5B - Complete numbers 1-7 in the yellow packet.

Attention parents:
The students have been working diligently in class as well as at home to prepare for the FCAT. They have received many resources to assist them to prepare. They have received a FCAT review packet (pink and blue) which we have been working on in class. They have also received a yellow packet (questions direclty from the Florida Department of Education), and I have on my blog links to the FCAT practice test, 2007 Released FCAT test and a link to a 6th grade FCAT practice site, which was developed by a Florida teacher. Please review these items with your child.

Also, the FCAT begins next week. Please make sure you child is well rested over the weekend. Also, make sure they eat a healthy breakfast, however if they are not used to eating a big breakfast, don't start now, they might not feel well afterwards. Have your child leave all electronic devices at home, and if they have forgotten to, they will be instructed to leave them off and in their locker, or they will be collected during testing and returned to them afterwards. Remind your child to bring a book to read.

If you have any doctor appointments schedule for your child next week during FCAT testing, please reschedule. Also, please have your child to school on time, or a little before so you child will not be late.

Monday will be the FCAT for math - both sessions.
Tuesday-Friday will be reading - 2 days-1 session each day for each homeroom
Monday and Tuesday of next week - 1 homeroom and makeup testing.

See link in previous post for FCAT help.
